Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is Hypnosis?
When in hypnosis you will feel very relaxed. You are not asleep but in a trance like state where your brain waves have changed from beta to alpha state. This means you can access your subconscious state which is the source of all feelings and emotions. It allows you to access scenes from the past that you may not be aware of in your conscious state and those scenes can give you insight and understanding nto the presenting issue that you have.
Will I remain in control whilst under Hypnosis?
Absolutely. When you are under hypnosis you will feel in a very relaxed state. You are completely in control and relaxed and can come out of it at any stage. We are just having a conversation whilst you are in a relaxed state.
Will I reveal any secrets or personal information that I don’t want to reveal?
No. You remain in control and can decide what you want to reveal.
No. Whilst you are under hypnosis you are still in control and able to decide what you wish to disclose. You will never feel any pressure or compulsion
How do I know I can be hypnotised?
Most people can be hypnotised and I have yet to work with anyone who hasn’t been successful. RTT is a rapid form of hypnotherapy and using particular verbals cues and tools I am trained to help you be hypnotised quickly whilst remaining calm relaxed and trusting of the situation.
How many sessions will I need?
Many issues can be dealt with in as little as one session. More complex issues can require up to 3 sessions. RTT works in several different ways. Its impact can be immediate, cumulative or retrospective. What this means is you may feel the benefit immediately after the session, most people do feel immediate relief, or it may take a short period of listening to the recording for the minimum of 21 days during which time you will really start to feel the benefits and transformative impact of RTT. Or you may find that you look back in e.g. 2 – 3 months’ after your session and realise that you have changed and the transformation that has occurred in your life. It varies for everybody.
